Quickstart

This guide will get you chatting with an AI in under 2 minutes.

Step 1: Launch env

Open env from your Applications folder or via Terminal:

open -a "env"

Step 2: Add an API Key

Open Settings (⌘ + ,)
Go to API Keys
Add at least one provider key:

Provider	Get API Key
Anthropic	console.anthropic.com
OpenAI	platform.openai.com
Google	aistudio.google.com
xAI	console.x.ai

Start with whichever provider you already have an API key for. You can add more later.

Step 3: Start Chatting

Click New Chat (⌘ + N)
Select a provider and model from the dropdown
Type your message and press Enter

That’s it — you’re up and running.
